Chocolate Mud Slices

A delicious mix between a mousse and a brownie.


(makes 16 fingers – serves 8)

200g butter, cubed

200g dark chocolate, broken

3 medium eggs

100g caster sugar

  1. Melt butter and chocolate
  2. Whisk the eggs and sugar until pale and mousse-like, then add the chocolate mixture and mix again
  3. Pour the mixture into a lined, greased, and floured baking tray and bake for 12 minutes at gas mark 4 / 180oC
  4. Leave to cool, then cut and remove from tin
  5. Serve with thick, lightly sugared, whipped cream
