I doubt the quest for the perfect chocolate chip cookie will ever come to an end, but these are tasty, look nice, and are certainly make-again-able.
(makes 25 cookies)
110g brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
260g plain flour
8 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
150g dark chocolate chips
150g milk chocolate chips
- In large bowl, beat butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time; beat in vanilla.
- In separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, and bicarbonate of soda.
- Add to butter mixture, stirring to combine. Stir in milk and chocolate chips.
- Drop by heaped tablespoonfuls, about 2 inches (5 cm) apart, onto greased baking sheets. Bake at Gas Mark 4 / 180oC until firm to the touch and no longer glossy; about 12 minutes. Transfer to racks; let cool completely.
