Swedish chocolate balls (for your fika break)

Because cultural appropriation is what I love to do on this blog, today I’m turning to our Scandinavian neighbours after a Swedish friend from Glasgow shared this recipe on her blog last summer. Very easy, very tasty.

100g butter (use the real stuff, taken out of the fridge a few hours before)
80g sugar
3 tbsp cocoa powder
120g oats
3 tbsp cold coffee
Dessicated coconut

  1. Using hands or hand blender, combine all ingredients except the coconut.
  2. Once there are no more lumps of butter in the dough, let it cool in fridge 10-30 minutes.
  3. Roll the dough into balls of any size, then roll them in the coconut before enjoying them during a well deserved “fika break”.
